04 May Love Buzz 2015
Out of everything in the world, the thing that scares in the most is the childhood cancer. So, when my friend, Emily asked me to photograph an event to raise money for childhood cancer research, I jumped at the opportunity. Apparently, these St. Baldrick’s events take place all over the county. A group of brave individuals agree to shave in their head to raise money for childhood cancer research. There is food, an auction, laughs and tears.
This was the second annual Love Buzz, and it took place at the amazing Metropolist – a co-working/event venue on 1st ave. Having shot a ton of weddings at a ton of different venus, I secretly judge venues based on how photogenic they are. Metropolist is one a my favorites. With lots of natural light, high ceilings and classy meets industrial, it was the perfect venue for this event.
Food, face painting, raffle prizes, an auction and, of course, head shavings, not only did people have an amazing time, but the event raised over $10,000!!! So honored to have been a part of this.
